4 Ways to Increase your Income as a Freelancer

4 Ways to Increase your Income as a Freelancer

Being a freelancer has its pros and cons. On one hand, freelancers have the potential to make TONS of money and aren’t capped out at a certain amount like they would be if we’re talking 9 to 5.

If you’re new to the freelance field and are looking for different ways to increase your income, I’ve got 4 ways for you!

  1. Sell your knowledge.

Knowledge is power! The online self-education industry is a million dollar industry and expected to grow tremendously over the next 10 to 20 years. If you’re NOT selling knowledge, you’re missing out.

Not only can you make TONS of money from it, but you can also help others in the process. If you have a skill or something that you know really well, sell your knowledge of it.

There are tons of people that would love to learn what you know. You could even give it away for free via YouTube and then just earn money from views.

As a freelancer, you’re probably knowledgeable about a lot of things that the general public or aspiring freelancers aren’t aware of. Use that to your advantage and sell your knowledge.

You can sell knowledge in the form of:

  • eBooks
  • eCourses
  • Guides
  • Swipe Files
  • Audios
  • Replays
  • Webinars
  • Master Classes
  • Books

And so much more! It depends on what form of content your audience learns best through.

  1. Sell Design Resources.

Every entrepreneur is going to need graphics and design products for their business to use for social media posts, story posts, ads and so much more. Design is something that not everyone is good at, unless they’ve gone to school for it or just simply have a good design eye and know what looks good.

If you are good at design, cash in on this million-dollar industry and make some bank! Once you really establish yourself, you may even be able to obtain contracts with large organizations to produce content for them.

There are tons of options when it comes to design resources. A few options include:

  • Social Media Posts
  • Story Post Templates
  • Logos
  • Websites
  • Banners
  • Newsletters
  • Flyers
  • Infographics
  • Postcards
  • Brochures

You can sell your designs on many different platforms such as:

  • Etsy
  • Creative Market
  • Fiverr
  • Zazzle
  • TurboSquid
  • Big Cartel

When it comes to design, there is an unlimited amount of resources that you can create. The beauty of it as well is that you can sell something you create over and over again.

  1. Increase your rates.

Just as every year at your job, you’d get a raise, every 6 months to 1 year, you should be raising your rates. Each year you gain more experience and you should be paid accordingly.

If you have products that you want to raise the price on, you should add something of value to them. However, if you have services that you want to raise the price on, also add something in extra that you do and raise the price. For instance, add a new welcome packet or a something that adds value to the service that you’re providing.

  1. Add Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate marketing is having others promote your products and services FOR you and giving them a percentage of the sale. There are many affiliate platforms that you can use to have other people not only promote your products for you, but make a little extra cash on the side. It’s really a win-win situation.

Another option as a freelancer with affiliate marketing is to become an affiliate for other companies. There are TONS of companies that offer affiliate programs such as:

  • Walmart
  • Amazon
  • Canva
  • Convertkit
  • Rakuten
  • Share A Sale
  • eBay

There are literally SO many programs to join to become an affiliate. Earning money online is pretty simple. In fact, there has never been a time like this where making money is so easy.

To get started in affiliate marketing, join a program. Visit:

-  Click bank

-  HubSpot or

- Amazon

Amazon even has this amazing portal where you can link to specific products in blogs, or on other web space and you can earn commission from each product you sell.

Don’t miss out on money to literally just promote others’ products.
