I’m sure you’ve heard the words Financial literacy before. If not, then this world has failed you!

Financial literacy is basically a term referring to knowing all things financial. For instance: Saving money, managing debt,
applying for loans, compound interest, credit cards and how they work, tax advantages, buying a home, starting a business, investing and various other financial dealings.

What’s unfortunate about financial literacy is that we aren’t taught it in schools. Sure some of us take classes like Economics or various types of math like calculus or algebra.

But what classes have you taken in high school do you feel have really prepared you for navigating life as an adult financially?

Probably NONE. High schools aren’t offering basic financial skills such as balancing a checkbook, opening a savings/checking account or even simply filing taxes, something we’re required to do as adults by law.

Is it just me or is this just odd? We take all of these other “required”classes that we’ll probably never use unless specified to a certain field.

This Financial Literacy guide will help you “Adult” financially and navigate the adult financial world with ease.
